Remember when you had to spend a month teaching to Hungarian Monks in Peru and missed an issue of the Rouleur magazine… well this is you chance to make up for it. March 10 has come and gone and our Pitt Street store opening-night was a hit. As you can see by the photos, we hosted a big turn out and a great night was had by all. The night started off steady and then at about 6.30 it was pumping, with a people flow to intersect the beer flow. The night was set around the screening of the PH rider movie that was shot a couple of weeks back, and it was an instant hit [I'm pretty sure Margaret and David would have given it 5 stars]. All in all the night was a great success and if you weren’t there you missed out on a fun night.
As you may already know we have just opened our first Sable & Argent city pop-up store, located within the Strand Arcade on the corner with Pitt Street. In true S&A style we are throwing a party to celebrate the opening. We would love to see you all at our second home (Shop 33 Stand Arcade, Pitt Street mall, Sydney CBD) from 6pm onwards on Thursday 10 March for celebratory drinks and music with free giveaways throughout the evening.

This year, the International Bicycle Film Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The Sydney BFF is here to raise and reinforce the positive profile of cyclists to celebrate riding in all its myriad forms. The BFF provides cycling and film enthusiasts with an opportunity to enjoy films they won’t see elsewhere – films that span across bike genres, films with international scope, films made for cyclists by cyclists, films with heart, films with flair.
This festival, however, is not just about bike films – it’s about showcasing and strengthening the diverse creative communities that underpin them. Held over 5 days in November, the Sydney BFF places bikes at the centre of a sustainable, culturally creative city. The program includes a both indoor and outdoor film

In 2010, Melbourne will welcome the 77th UCI Road World Championships.
The event will be held over 5 days of competition from 29th September to 3rd October and features Elite Men and Women competitors as well as Under 23 Men’s. Over 400 of the world’s best cyclists will descend on Melbourne to compete in Time Trial and Road Race events based in Geelong. In addition to the challenging courses set in Geelong for these competitors, for the first time in a World Championship, the Elite Men’s Road Race will begin in one city and finish in another with the start of the race in Melbourne, finishing with laps of the tough circuit in Geelong.
