‘Potential of Hydrogen’ or ‘PH’ bikes will be landing in-store soon … Just days away! As S&A will be one of the major retailers for PH I was lucky enough to be invited to visit the birth place of the bikes in downtown Nanjing, 2 hours by high speed train at 330 km/h north west of Shanghai, and witness the creation of the bikes destined for S&A. The factory is on a scale I could not quite comprehend, everyone from the boss to the workers all live and work on-site, it’s like a miniature village.
Raw materials are fed in at one end of the building and a few days later, boxed & finished products roll out the other; into containers and off to the ports, some 800 bikes per day!

In 2010, Melbourne will welcome the 77th UCI Road World Championships.
The event will be held over 5 days of competition from 29th September to 3rd October and features Elite Men and Women competitors as well as Under 23 Men’s. Over 400 of the world’s best cyclists will descend on Melbourne to compete in Time Trial and Road Race events based in Geelong. In addition to the challenging courses set in Geelong for these competitors, for the first time in a World Championship, the Elite Men’s Road Race will begin in one city and finish in another with the start of the race in Melbourne, finishing with laps of the tough circuit in Geelong.

Bikes galore – BLB is the home of the track bike in the east end of London. Every inch of wall, ceiling or floor crammed with new and vintage frames and parts. A few of my favourites – Cinelli alter stems in a glass cabinet full of vintage Cinelli parts… heaven!
