Sable and Argent

Not being the type to name drop, well, actually I may be, it was with great pleasure that I accepted the task of assembling one true masterpiece. Rarer than hen’s teeth, Pegoretti bicycles are one of the true jewels in the bicycle industry.

Built post-illness (and may God bless you Mr Pegoretti), this Marcelo boasts the ‘Thriller in Manilla’ paint scheme and finished to perfection with Campagnolo Super Record. I can’t remember exactly, but someone once said that racing Paris-Roubaix is like boxing on bicycles. How apt. It’s good to know Dario is in your corner.

Urban cycling Dutch style! Vanmoof – inspired by the old fashioned Dutch bikes, designed by Sjoerd Smit in Holland, this bike will turn heads and with its integrated solar powered LED lights for the front and back, it’s quite clever with it. Now in-store.

Not everything is about racing bikes here at S&A.

Here’s one for all the easy riders out there:Bianchi Citta Milano. A nice cruiser ride with Shimano Nexus 3 speed internal geared hub to make your life a little easier.

Thanks to everyone who has supported us through 2009, it has been great to meet you all in-store and get to know some of you very well. We are all in ‘full steam’ ahead for this year, which is mapping out to be action packed and very exciting…watch this space.

At the end of ‘09 we held a Sable and Argent launch party in conjunction with the launch of Rapha in-store, with live music from The Snowdroppers, and plenty of ice cold beers from Peroni the night was thoroughly enjoyable. Over 100 people attended and were treated to a live installation from the Artist Will French and the full range from Rapha was on display at the front of the shop, where it will be permanently displayed for you to touch, feel, try on and buy.

Looking forward to seeing you all again this year and to meet some new faces.
